Information about the International Music Festival in Valencia in 2012, from 16 to 21 July.  Masterclasses, chamber music lessons, concerts, lectures and more....

 ¡WELCOME!

The beautiful city of Valencia, the third town in Spain, with a large cultural history and with famous artists like Blasco Ibañez, Sorolla, Calatrava and Rodrigo, is the base of an International Music Festival featuring master classes, concerts, lectures and more.

Te Festival will take place in the new and spectacular Cultural Centre named La Rambleta, a seven-floor building which offers a hall with 700 seats, teaching rooms, practicing space,  a library, restaurant, terraces and a beautiful park which will form part of the festival performances.

We offer extensive coaching in instrumental-as well as chamber music lessons in Spanish, English, French and German and Dutch.

A team of dedicated teachers, who all have an international career both as soloist and in teaching, will support and encourage you to develop your solo repertoire as well as your chamber music skills.

The Festival is open for students of any level and age, professional students, young talents, as well as preformed ensembles who want to enjoy top level coaching on their repertoire.

All students will have the possibility to receive individual lessons from their teacher in the morning and chamber music coaching from the other teachers in the afternoon.

Within the Festival there will be a small competition held for those who attend the chamber music lessons. A jury will choose two winning ensembles to participate in the teachers concerts.

Guest teachers will give lectures and will share their professional experiences on interesting subjects such as musical analysis, orchestral life (how to survive..) ,dealing with stress on stage, violinmaking and-repair etc.

The Festival advices, for those who come from abroad, to look on the webpage of  ‘’hostales baratos valencia’’  in order to find low cost accommodation in the center of Valencia.

    Kind regards,

    Adrian van Dongen, artistic director
